A Meticulously Designed Primrose Hill Home Tour

You might have noticed that the home tours I share are generally of smaller residences. They are of the kind of homes that we all can, for the most part, relate to and draw direct inspiration from. Today’s tour is a bit of a departure from the norm in that it is of a massive home in London. Once you take a peek inside I think you’ll see why I have made an exception for this lovely residence.

The 16,500 square foot home sits in the Primrose Hill area of London. Yes, you read that right. 16,500 square feet. That’s a bit incomprehensible, isn’t it? What is notable about this house, other than its massive square footage of course, is that every single inch of the space was remarkably and thoughtfully designed. The end result is a home that flows beautifully from one room to the next, from the first thousand square feet to the sixteenth. I am sharing this Primrose Hill home tour because, even though it is of a size none of us can quite relate to, the general feel of the residence and the stunning finishes found inside can still provide a gorgeous dose of inspiration.

This beautiful bathroom is my favorite room in the house and is nothing short of a dream thanks to the immense attention given to detail.

Music Mondays – October Playlist

I have to admit that I set out to create a much more mellow October playlist than the one I’m sharing with you today. I initially had a vision of cozy fall evenings in mind but inspiration ultimately took me in a much different direction. This edition of Music Mondays therefore covers a wide range of genres and, for that reason, is probably more representative of my musical tastes than any playlist has previously been.

My October playlist includes a few newer artists like Wiktoria, a Swedish singer and songwriter with a sound that is equal parts country and soul. You’ll find a killer collaboration between Kaskade and deadmau5 featuring Skylar Grey which I can only describe as hauntingly melodic. The playlist also features my favorite standbys of late, The Chainsmokers and ZHU, as well as some old friends. Hello Green Day and Kings of Leon, you have been missed. What can I say? This playlist has my heart.

Taking on Thirty with ARK Age Aware Skincare

I don’t want to age myself but I have to admit that I was really excited to turn 30 this past January. My 20s were, how shall I put it…challenging. Years 20–29 were full of uncertainty and what felt like an endless amount of searching for who I wanted to become. You know, the normal growing pains every 20-something-year-old feels. Suffice it to say that I was more than ready to leave that period of my life behind and embrace the shiny new decade full of promise that 30 offered.

What I failed to consider were the ways in which I’d start seeing that decade. Joints that never gave me problems now ache, I can no longer stare at a computer all day without getting a migraine, and when I get out of bed in the morning I sometimes want to stiffly stretch in the same awkward, pained manner as my middle-aged dog. See what all of you bright and chipper 20-somethings have to look forward to?

My skin also appears to have gotten the memo about the ticking clock and has significantly changed in both texture and in terms of what it requires to stay looking plump and moisturized. Modern Pumpkin Design

If you can remember as far back as last Halloween, you might recall that I was professed my love for dramatic, grown up Halloween décor. Well, 365 days later I am singing quite a different tune. This Halloween I’m finding myself shying away from ornate and glamorous adornments in lieu of simplistic and streamlined design, particularly when it comes to pumpkins.

The shift could be coming from a place of not having time to go all out this Halloween, but I think more likely than not it is aligned with my continued desire to simplify, simplify, simplify. That is why I am loving all of these gorgeous ideas for modern pumpkin design. They all infuse a cheery dose of Halloween spirit into the home without requiring much effort or being too over the top.

Gluten Free Pumpkin Spiced Cookies

The temperature has yet to dip below 65 degrees in Los Angeles, but I’m still trying to get into the autumn spirit any and every way I can. The best way to infuse a bit of fall into my life? By creating a recipe for gluten free pumpkin spiced cookies, of course!
