I have never been as excited to share a post as I am today. Prior to our trip to Paris earlier this month, I decided I wanted to put together a travel vlog, my first ever, of our time there. The desire to start vlogging about our trips comes from two places. First, I simply love watching the adventures of others in their travel vlogs and was eager to share my own. Second, I wanted to incorporate my husband a bit more into Musings on Momentum and consciously carve out a way for us to work collaboratively going forward.
I have not previously shared much about my husband’s job, or about our life outside of Musings on Momentum for that matter, but that is changing today. My husband has worked as a professional videographer for close to a decade now. He has predominately worked with sports teams and leagues, traveling around the world to shoot different organizations. It is, without a doubt, an absolute dream job.
Over the course of our relationship he has begun traveling for work less and less, something I am incredibly thankful for, and today shoots locally the majority of the time. That fact, combined with my ever-expanding vision for Musings on Momentum, led me to suggest that we collaborate to create a vlog of our time in Paris.
I had a very clear vision going into the trip of specific shots I wanted to include, the general feel I was going for and selected the song we used. That’s about where my contribution ends. My husband was responsible for 95% of the footage included in the vlog and 100% of the editing and actual work. It may have been my vision, but it was my husband who brought it to life.
That was all a lengthy way of saying that I am specifically excited to share this with you today because it is a piece of US. I hope you all enjoy our Paris travel vlog and feel like you know us a little better after watching it. We would love and appreciate any feedback you might want to share, positive or negative. We are planning on creating many travel vlogs to come and want to make them as enjoyable as possible for all of you!
