Five Ways to Get into the Back to School Spirit

My back to school days might be behind me, but that doesn’t stop me from looking for fun ways to celebrate a time of year that was historically very meaningful to me. When I was growing up, the back to school season represented a fresh start. It indicated an opportunity to turn the page on who I was the previous year and embrace who I wanted to be going forward. Since I am all about celebrating new beginnings, today I am sharing my five favorite ways to get into the back to school spirit.
A Light Filled Orange County Home Tour
I am keeping my home tours local for the second month in a row and, after taking a look at this gorgeous light filled Orange County home, I think you will understand why. The family that calls this bright and open space home purchased the house under much different conditions. Originally dark and closed off, the owners turned to designer Lindye Galloway for guidance. Galloway, a talented OC based designer, began by opening up the homes cramped spaces to let natural light flood in. She then turned her focus to decor, adding farmhouse details and soft metallic touches throughout the home. The stunning end result manages to channel a beachy bohemian vibe while still maintaining a rustic sophistication.
