Today’s Napa Valley home tour is the serene weekend escape of Mariam Naficy, the founder of Minted, and her family. In case you are not familiar with the platform, Minted it is an online marketplace for artists and designers, full of unique finds and incredible works of art. A visit to Naficy’s second home is a bit like stepping into a Minted showroom brought to life in that it is full of light, bright spaces accented by bold art and layered textiles. The rich combination creates a perfectly relaxed yet elegant space.

Naficy purchased her weekend abode in 2011 which, at the time, was a generic looking ranch surrounded by six acres of land. Though the home had solid bones, it was lacking personality. Designer Maca Huneeus was called in to turn the bland space into a serene Scandinavian-inspired backdrop for Naficy’s stunning collection of art and textiles. To add a sense of history to a decidedly modern space, Huneeus and Naficy brought in salvaged architectural pieces and well-loved textiles. The result is a perfectly unique balance of modern and antique, guaranteed to instill a feeling of zen into all those who visit.

What is your favorite room in this Napa Valley home tour? I personally can’t decide between the master bedroom and master bathroom. Both feel like the perfect place to escape the reality of the city.
