Nestled in the San Bernadino mountains near Lake Arrowhead, the cabin tour that I am sharing with you today is a mere hour and a half outside of Los Angeles, yet it feels like a completely different world. Built in 1941, the cabin has since been completely remodeled, offering a dose of low key, streamlined elegance. I can safely say that, after living in LA for four years, this space is just what one needs to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

This stunning cabin is owned by LA hairstylist Leanne Citrone and was designed by her friend Lauren Soloff. The two first became friends when they worked together on the Citrone family home in Hancock Park and, once the family purchased this unique cabin, joined forces yet again. When approaching the remodel, Citrone and Soloff focused on simple and cost effective changes that would bring the space up to date without breaking the bank. The results speak for themselves, offering the family a perfectly serene escape from city life.

What is your favorite part of this Lake Arrowhead cabin tour? Mine has to be either the bunk room or the sleeping attic. Can’t you just imagine yourself loving those spaces as a child?
