The further we get into 2018, the more I realize that my design aesthetic is shifting increasingly towards clean lines and masculine vibes. I’m finding that, for the first time in my life, I’m not shying away from rich, bold colors but in fact embracing them and, from everything I’m reading, I’m not the only one. We seem collectively ready to bid farewell to all white interiors and hello to deeper, richer shades like the ones featured in today’s home tour. The Washington D.C. bachelor pad tour I’m sharing is full of clean lines and bold, rich shades designed to create an urban loft-like aesthetic that I am positively in love with.
The building in which this Logan Circle loft is housed originally served as an autobody shop, lending itself to a very industrial look. Christina Cole, the Austin-based designer who was hired to transform this unique space into a lived-in home, allowed the building’s impressive architectural elements to dictate the design direction she and the home’s owner ultimately took. High ceilings and original brick walls are on full display in this space, accented by the owner’s ever-expanding eclectic collection of art.
