When I took my break from blogging, one of the aspects that I found I missed the most was making and sharing my monthly Music Mondays playlists. Over the last two years, my playlists have served as soundtracks to each individual month that passed and quickly became an integral part of my life. The Summer of 2017 therefore ended up sounding like…silence. It was clearly time for a change. In case you couldn’t already guess, the excitement I’m feeling this morning in sharing my October 2017 playlist in unparalleled!

This October 2017 playlist features a fresh and exciting selection from a wide range of musical genres. If you remember my past playlists, I adore a good mix of artists and sounds, and I am thrilled that this first playlist back offers a little something for everyone.
I’m starting things off with Sofi Tukker, a duo I highly recommend seeing live if you ever have the chance. They exude energy and genuine gratitude for their audience every time they perform. They are followed up with some old favorites like Macklemore, CHVRCHES and Avicii, with some awesome new artists I’ve discovered over the summer mixed in. An incredible Steve Aoki remix of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” closes things out, just in time to get you into the Halloween spirit. One item to note – there is explicit language in “Changes” by DeJ Loaf. I love the song so much that I wanted to share it anyway, but if you have little ones you will want to hit “Next” when it comes on.
I have missed our monthly conversations about music so much! What have you all been listening to this summer and during these first days of autumn?
