By the end of a Monday at work exactly zero part of me wanted to rush home, throw together a salad for dinner, get gussied up, venture down the ever terrifying Hollywood Boulevard to the Metro, deal with a Metro transfer at Wilshire and Vermont (but what do you meaaan we have to transfer from the red line to the purple line only to backtrack to get to the Wiltern?), all to make it to a 7:00 PM show at The Wiltern. SPOILER ALERT: We didn’t arrive until 8:15. But, as I was bemoaning my life, it hit me that we won’t have the ability to go on concert adventures like these sans the procurement of a baby sitter and with severe repercussions for that much longer so we have to make the most out of every possible adventure we can have now! So I tried to put a smile on my face, I was more successful once free of the crazies on Hollywood Boulevard and safely seated on the Metro, and enjoy these precious moments of undivided fiancé attention. I didn’t even mind it when he “pretended” to nod off on my shoulder. These moments of physical closeness are hard to come by these days with our busy schedules. It was sure to be a great night! Even if it meant I’d be exhausted for the rest of the week because I stayed up until 12:30 AM on a Monday night/Tuesday morning.
