Gratitude… The topic has been on my mind lately as it feels more and more like life is moving at the speed of light. When I stop and look at my daily existence I’m blown away by how beautiful it is. Of course there are things I would change, like not being ridiculously sick during Coachella and the week following, but in many ways I’m living my absolute dream life. It feels as if over the last twenty-plus years my intuition was led by some distant glimmer of the world in which I wanted to live. It is as if I was guided by a strong hand in the right direction, even when I at times went off course. That isn’t to say that it hasn’t been a bumpy, winding and painful road. It has been and I know it will be again from time to time, but I think those trials and lessons make the good times that much sweeter.

I know that not all of you at a point where it really feels like you’re beginning to arrive at where you want to and are meant to be. Honestly, this is a relatively new feeling for me. A very welcome one after years of feeling like I was fumbling in some direction, just not the right one. Regardless, I bet you can look around and recognize pieces of your own dream lives starting to fall into place. I want to get better about recognizing those moments in my own life and giving them the amount of gratitude that they deserve. I’m hoping some of you will be willing to share a piece of yourselves and do the same right along with me.
I’d love if you guys were willing to take a moment and think of and share one, three, five, ten things you are grateful for in your own lives. That’s it! The things you share can be as big or small as you like. A fresh bouquet of flowers, the fact that the sun was shining when you woke up, maybe the weather is finally warm enough to wear shorts…it doesn’t matter what it is. If it’s a positive thing in your life, one that you are thankful for, I would love to hear about it.
For me personally, on this rainy Friday in May, I am most grateful for my improving health. It was a really rough last two weeks and I was totally and completely drained, unable to function or go to work. Thankfully I had amazing nurses in the form of my husband and Puggle, Lola, and am now on the mend.
Talk about things I’m grateful for…those two are the best things that have ever happened to me. The three of us are such a little unit and I genuinely LOVE coming home to them each night after work. They both have exceeded all hopes and expectations of how amazing a partner and dog could be and I still regularly pinch myself because I can’t believe I get to share my life with them. After such a challenging couple of weeks I want to spend my weekend focusing solely on them and enjoying some quiet down time together.
What are you guys feeling thankful for this Friday?
