With Christmas a mere two weeks away, I can not think of a more perfect home tour to share than this incredible work by Studio McGee. I have long been an admirer of the design duo’s aesthetic and actually shared this exact cabin on Musings on Momentum last December. This time around however, the Studio McGee team gave the Aspen cabin a very special holiday makeover, sure to put you in a festive mood.
With the weather across the greater United States hovering around an officially frigid level, I can’t help but have cozy cold weather getaways on my mind. As you’ll soon see, there are none quite as idyllic as the perfectly appointed mountain home tour I’m sharing with you today.
When design house Studio McGee was tasked with bringing their cool and minimalist aesthetic to this rustic and masculine home, they were initially stumped on how to proceed with a project so far removed from their traditional design norm. Fortunately, it didn’t take long for them to find a happy marriage between the two seemingly contrasting styles, ultimately leading to an end result that is nothing short of livable and sophisticated brilliance.
Who knew a mountain home could be so chic?
