The day has finally come to share a glimpse into the room that is quickly becoming my favorite in our little house, the kitchen. When we took ownership in June, the kitchen was painted the same lovely green color as the bathroom. The green paint cast a dark shadow over the room, making it look like it was in all around worse shape than it actually was. We remedied that issue by bringing painters in on the second day we were in the house, brightening up the room with a gorgeous blue-gray color of paint. We suddenly found ourselves with a bright, inviting space that, even with slightly dated cabinets and countertops, immediately felt like home. It is truly amazing what a simple coat of paint can do!
We have made a few minor changes to the room since that first week, bringing in new pieces of furniture and various accents. The mid-century bohemian kitchen tour that you are seeing today is full of fun art and vibrant accessories, blended together to create an eclectic and welcoming space. We love the progress that we have made with the room and are looking forward to enjoying it as is…at least for the time being!

Be on the lookout for Wednesday’s post in which I will be sharing my sources for this mid-century bohemian kitchen tour.
