Music Mondays has returned after a brief hiatus in February and I am so excited to share this particular playlist with you.  I have been listening away to this mix for the last couple of weeks and it has quickly become my soundtrack to spring.  This March 2018 playlist is full of happy, upbeat songs focused on positivity and living your best life because, as far as I am concerned, that is what this season of transition is all about.  So roll down your car window, pop on some shades and get ready for spring!

Music Mondays – January 2018 Playlist

Well, friends, we made it to 2018!  I hope you all had a very happy new year and enjoyed your first week and a half of January.  I have been quiet for the last few days because I have been battling a cold and focused on getting in lots of rest and relaxation.  For that reason, my January 2018 playlist is full of upbeat and happy songs (I dare you not to tap your toes to the Bomba Estéreo remix of “Everything Now”!) to help keep me, and now you, in a positive mood and new year state of mind.

Our 2017 End of Year Vlog

It is finally time to bid farewell to 2017 and, nearly everywhere I turn, the refrain, “Good riddance!”, rings out.  It seems that 2017 was a rough year for just about everyone, myself included.  That fact makes writing a tidy year end wrap-up next to impossible.  So, instead of even attempting to do so, I am going to choose to focus this post only on the positive aspects of this year, much like our 2017 end of year vlog does.

If you are a longtime reader or follow me on social media, you might have already guessed that, in keeping with all areas of my life, this vlog is full of international travel, adorable puppies, a bit of soccer, and a whole lot of amazing live music, including an entire section shot at Coachella 2017 that we were not able to previously share.  More than any prior vlog, this vlog gives a real glimpse into our daily lives, including an official introduction to our new puppy, Flynn!  It is not quite as aesthetically stunning as our travel vlogs normally are, but it is 100% us and shares some incredible moments of our year together.  I hope you all enjoy our 2017 end of year vlog!

The end of the year is upon us and, I must confess, I couldn’t be more excited to wrap up 2017 and move into a bright, new 365 days.  2017 has rocked both me and my family to the core and I think we are all ready for a fresh start, symbolic as it may be.  With that in mind, I tried to keep my December 2017 playlist upbeat and encouraging to help both you and myself get ready for the new year.

Music Mondays – 2017 Holiday Playlist

I don’t know what it is about the holiday season this year but I’m finding myself uncharacteristically cheery about the prospect of Christmas being a mere 3 ½ weeks away.  I generally fall more in the spectrum of “Grinch” when it comes to holidays, so this is truly out of character for me.  The only excuse I can come up is that it will be the first Christmas EVER that my husband and I are a) in the same city as one another and b) staying in California for the holiday.  If that isn’t cause for endless rounds of Christmas carols and eggnog, I don’t know what is!

Many moons ago, approximately 365 days ago to be precise, when I shared my December 2016 Music Mondays playlist, I received requests for a holiday-specific playlist.  I filed the appeal away in the back of my mind and didn’t think much about it again until October of this year.  Once the holidays were within reach, I excitedly started assembling the 2017 Holiday Playlist that I’m sharing with you today.  It is full of Christmas favorites, both old and new, and, in keeping with the holiday spirit, contains a little something for everyone.

My 2017 holiday playlist contains a mix of my favorite holiday songs from various stages of my life and includes a sampling of classics, rock, and pop hits.
