Musings on Momentum is hitting its first big milestone today and is officially one year old! I touched on the profound gratitude I have for the individuals and opportunities that this space has brought into my life a couple of weeks ago. At risk of sounding like a broken record, it has been an eye-opening and amazing 365 days since I first hit publish. I am astonished at how both Musings on Momentum and I have grown and changed since June 8, 2015 and am excited to see where we will both be in another 365 days.
To commemorate the occasion I want to share my favorite posts from the past year with you all. They range from a very personal post about my husband and my love story to interior inspiration, collectively encompassing some of the most wonderful moments of my life this past year.

Lifestyle
Our Love Story – My husband and my path to one another was full of twists and turns and the old adage about finding love in the most unexpected of places definitely rang true. This was one of the most personal posts I have written and was really special to share.

How to Make a Charcuterie – I LOVE a good charcuterie and firmly believe that creating a gorgeous spread is an art form. In this post I broke down charcuterie must-haves and shared a few of my favorite items to include.

How to Create the Perfect Home Bar – I wrote this post in preparation for our move last September. Its purpose was two fold – it breaks down the necessary elements every home bar should include and also inspired me to step up the bar in our new home!

The Best Home Workouts – I know this is a recent one but I had so much fun sharing some of my favorite home workouts with all of you and really enjoyed the feedback you gave me about your own favorite workouts!

Decor
Interior Inspiration for the New Year – Six months later I’m still as in love with my New Year’s 2016 interior inspiration as I was when I created it. The spaces are calming, clean and unique…exactly what I strive for in my home!

Home Goals: Gallery Wall Around a TV – If you have ever attempted to create a cohesive gallery wall around a television you will be able to appreciate this post. The struggle was, and still is, very real following our move and it would probably be in my best interest to write a Part 2 to this because we still have a long way to go on our own gallery wall.

Small Balcony Design – This is another recent post but one I know a lot of us can relate to. Some of us city and condo dwellers don’t have the expansive outdoor spaces that we desire but still want what little space we do have to feel relaxing and unique. This post greatly inspired my own small balcony makeover. I’m so thankful that it did because I spend time out there daily!

Italian Riviera Home Tour – I think we all dreamt a little Riviera dream after seeing this home tour. This little home is, without a doubt, one of the most stunningly beautiful spaces I have ever seen.

Travel
Honeymoon Stop One – New Year’s in Amsterdam – New Year’s Eve in Amsterdam was one of the most magical and terrifying experiences of my life. Two words – legal fireworks.
Honeymoon Stop Two – Prague in the Snow – Prague, while beautiful, ultimately wasn’t the dream destination I expected it to be thanks to my knee losing a battle against the medieval stairs around Prague Castle. Nevertheless, I always try to share the good with the bad on Musings on Momentum and it was definitely an experience to remember.
Honeymoon Stop Three – Paris, Je T’aime – Paris remains my favorite city in the world and sharing it with my new husband on our honeymoon was nothing short of magical. Injured knee and all. In fact it was so magical that we will be returning in just two and a half short months!
Weekend Getaway – Jalama State Beach – Who knew a weekend camping trip just three hours up the coast could yield so many incredible memories and photo opportunities? Lola, my previously terrified of the ocean dog, developed a sudden love for the beach and had the time of her life. Seeing her so happy and getting to play in the surf and sand with her was an incredibly special experience. Neither of us can wait to return!
DIY
DIY Anthropologie Mirrors – I fell in love with a set of mirrors from Anthropologie at the beginning of the year but couldn’t justify the price tag so I made my own with gold and silver foil!
Music Festival DIY – Floral Sunglasses – I loved wearing these glasses at Coachella…they were so unique and feminine and not something I would normally rock. It was fun to get out of my comfort zone and accessorize with something I made myself,
DIY Terracotta Pots – This easy gold and silver foil DIY has added such a fun touch of whimsy and glamour to our balcony and our herbs have been thriving in them!
Music Festival DIY – Feather Earrings – These bohemian leather feather earrings ended up being versatile enough to take from Coachella to brunch in LA.
Food & Drink
Gluten Free Breakfast Bowl – Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and when your breakfast looks this pretty there are zero excuses to skip it!
The Best Oven Baked Salmon Recipe – As a Pacific Northwest girl at heart I love my salmon and take preparing it very seriously. This flavorful recipe is so quick and easy and leaves you with next to zero cleanup.
Gluten Free Peanut Butter S’more Cookies – These cookies take me back to summer camp in the Pacific Northwest and bring back so many happy memories. Somehow the post for this cookie recipe ended up being one of the most personal I have written. The power of s’mores!
Portobello Mushroom Pizzas – I still prepare these pizzas once or twice a month because they’re so delicious! They’re a fabulous and healthy gluten free way to satisfy pizza cravings.
There you have it, my first year of blogging in review! Thank you to each and every one of you for continuing to visit Musings on Momentum and for your willingness to connect with me. Thanks to all of you my love of blogging has grown tenfold in the past 365 days and I am driven and inspired to create better content each and every day. This blog, and all of you, have been such wonderful gifts in my life!
