As I was putting this playlist together, I realized that this is officially my FOURTH year of sharing Music Mondays playlists! Time sure has flown these last four years since I pushed “publish” on my first post on Musings on Momentum. Sharing playlists with all of you has become one of my most cherished monthly practices because they are something we can all enjoy together. I hope this January 2019 playlist is no different and leaves you feeling ready to take on the month ahead!

It is hard for me to believe that the time has come to share my final monthly playlist of the year. My December 2018 playlist is full of both old and new favorites, making it the perfect way to wrap up the year while getting excited for all the adventures that 2019 has in store.

How is it possible that we are already entering into the final four months of 2018? It feels like just yesterday that I was posting my January 2018 playlist and here we are heading into autumn. I have said it before and I will say it again, time sure does fly the older you get.
Though the year may have passed at warp speed, I am hoping that these last days of summer don’t. My September 2018 playlist is full of upbeat tunes to help make the transition from summer to fall just a bit easier. It is my hope that this blend can provide the perfect soundtrack to your last leisurely days of the season.

In interest of total transparency, I am about to get real about my August 2018 playlist. The last month of my life has been particularly challenging and has come with its fair share of disappointment and defeat. While I have continued to portray a relatively picture perfect reality on social media, the truth is that my life has been anything but.
I entered into this summer full of hope and excitement for the grand adventure ahead. While I certainly got my fair share of new experiences this summer, the season also failed to live up to many of my expectations. I debated keeping this fact to myself but, the thing is, I’m guessing every single one of you has experienced this exact feeling at some point in your lives, so why fake it? We all struggle and we all face disappointment but what matters isn’t how many times we are knocked down. What matters is how we pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off. For that reason, this August 2018 playlist is full of happy, upbeat songs designed to help those of us feeling the summertime blues turn our moods around and end the summer on a cheery note.
