Today’s lovely Mediterranean-style home tour comes to us from the very talented Homepolish designer, Rosa Beltran. When Rosa first encountered this sprawling Altadena, California property, it was in need of a major overhaul. It was full of outdated faux Mediterranean fixtures from the 90s along with some truly special touches…think shag carpet in the bathroom. Under Rosa’s guidance, the home underwent a complete makeover from the outside in. The end result infuses modern design with bohemian touches, offering a soothing neutral palette full of rich global textures and details.
My Mid-Century Bohemian Office Tour
The day has finally come for me to share my new mid-century bohemian office tour with you! As I mentioned earlier this week when I shared my inspiration behind the space, I worked to ensure that the my office fit in with the mid-century bones of our home while still incorporating the global influences that I hold dear. The end result, while still very much an ever-evolving work in progress, is bright, cozy, and full of endless amounts of inspiration.

My Mid-Century Bohemian Office Inspiration
I have been waiting to press “Publish” on the first segment of this home series since we purchased our new house in March and, much to my great joy, the day has finally arrived! As I mentioned when I shared our empty home tour last week, our fixer upper is very much a work in progress. Due to the fact that I needed to hit the ground running and begin work immediately upon our arrival in Kansas City, my office, which also serves as our main guest room, is the first room in our house to be completed. I will be sharing the final reveal of my mid-century bohemian office next week but, in the meantime, wanted to share some of the influences behind the space.

An Picturesque Mediterranean Island Getaway
As I was putting together this home tour, I realized that there has been a significant uptick in the number of Spanish homes that I am sharing lately. In May, I posted a gorgeous cliffside Mallorca home tour that left us all swooning and now, two months later, I’m following up with a sneak peek into this Formentera escape. If that isn’t a sign that I’m longing to go to Spain, I don’t know what is! Until I can book my flight, I’ll just have to live vicariously through photos of this serene and picturesque Mediterranean island getaway.

A Cape Cod Inspired Home Tour
The period directly surrounding the 4th of July always leaves me feeling nostalgic for some good old fashioned Americana influences. In the last four weeks, I have been caught enthusiastically scrolling through Pinterest in search of red, white, and blue touches. I have secretly Googled “cape cod interiors” to hunt down that traditional all American look. Simply put, I have been feeling the spirit of the 4th of July in a way I haven’t for years. This gorgeous cape cod inspired home tour by Studio McGee honors those classic American influences, while modernizing them with bohemian touches, keeping the patriotic spirit alive all year round.
