A few months ago I started a practice of sharing with you all what I am grateful for at the end of each month. I began this in hopes that we could together recognize the beautiful moments in our lives, small though they may be, that light a fire under us and make us feel safe, loved and appreciated. I very much plan to get back to that practice in July however I’m having a challenging time with it in June. In interest of being true to myself and as transparent as I can be I’m going to share with you why.
Three Easy Ways to Detox
There is something about the warming weather that makes me feel like a serious detoxification is in order. I’m not sure whether it’s due to spending an increased amount of time outside and feeling like my skin is picking up more dirt in general, whether it’s thanks to sweating more under the hot spring sun, or whether it can be attributed to one too many mimosa-fueled days by the pool, but come June I’m feeling like a it’s time for a major reset.
Traditional cleanses are not an option for me due to the fact I have zero willpower and can literally not function without food, therefore I am always looking for easy ways to detox and incorporate small healthy practices into my life. I’m sharing my top tips and tricks for detoxing in a gentle, easy way because we can all use a reboot now and again. From a cleansing morning drink to a relaxing soak in the tub to THE BEST clay mask I’ve ever tried, if you’re in search of a way to coax your body back into check you have come to the right place.

Gratitude in May
I can scarcely believe May is coming to a close and it is already time to reflect on how amazing a month it has been. As I mentioned several weeks ago when I first addressed the topic of gratitude, I am making a conscious effort to recognize and focus on the blessings, big and little, in my life. At that time I first shared what I was feeling particularly grateful for and, to my great joy, you were all wonderful enough to share right along with me. I feel like the practice helped me, and hopefully you all as well, enter into the new month in a much more positive head space.
Since you were all so willing to share the things you were feeling grateful for both with me and with one another, I have decided to try incorporating the practice of gratitude into my blog on a monthly basis. As we near the end of each month I want to take a moment to properly appreciate the amazing blessings the month has brought into my life. I’m hoping you will continue to take part in this practice with me so we can collectively begin each month with full and thankful hearts.

The Best Home Workouts
I have never previously shared this fact on my blog but I really dislike gyms. I have never liked them and don’t anticipate that changing. From a young age I couldn’t help but feel self conscious at gyms and fearful I was making a fool of myself. I know that in reality these are my own insecurities and that nobody is paying any attention to what I, or anyone else, is doing within the confines of a gym but it remains a strong reaction that I can not seem to shake. I would much rather work out in the privacy of my own home.
Now this isn’t to say that I have not always exercised regularly. Quite the contrary actually. I have always exercised a minimum of four days a week for the past decade of my life and only plan on incorporating more physical activity into my daily life as I age. It has a huge and inarguable impact on my mental health and is something I very much need in my life to keep me in a positive and motivated headspace.
As you might imagine, I have become a bit of a connoisseur of home workouts over the years. I, like all of you, am short on time and need to get the best possible results in the shortest amount of time. I’m sharing the most effective and best home workouts I have found with you today in hopes that you will be inspired to squeeze a mind and body improving workout into your busy days as well.

Practicing Gratitude
Gratitude… The topic has been on my mind lately as it feels more and more like life is moving at the speed of light. When I stop and look at my daily existence I’m blown away by how beautiful it is. Of course there are things I would change, like not being ridiculously sick during Coachella and the week following, but in many ways I’m living my absolute dream life. It feels as if over the last twenty-plus years my intuition was led by some distant glimmer of the world in which I wanted to live. It is as if I was guided by a strong hand in the right direction, even when I at times went off course. That isn’t to say that it hasn’t been a bumpy, winding and painful road. It has been and I know it will be again from time to time, but I think those trials and lessons make the good times that much sweeter.
